The volunteer experience at Life On Earth Art is truly unique, giving our community the experience of a therapeutic art practice without the barrier of a price tag. We encourage our volunteers to fly into the world of artistry; making paper mâché winged hearts to be included in installations to inspire themselves and people they will never meet.

Volunteer Programs

We recognize that there is an illness of despair happening all over the world at this moment, and in our hearts as individuals there is a calling to make a change. At Life On Earth Art, we are giving the public a resource to act on that calling and promote the healing of trauma in our society through artmaking.

Life On Earth Art accepts volunteers ages 12 and up through a simple sign up process in our studio, allowing direct access to sitting down with our Workshop Artists and learning about the paper mâché process. As our volunteers return to the studio, they are taught how to construct the 3D heart models, how to paint them, and given the freedom of independent artmaking using these tools.

Each step engages a different skill set, which allows for a great variety of tasks for seasoned volunteers to choose from when they come back time and time again.

In our studio, we host a great variety of participants, building a community of families, students, school groups, clubs, and more. Large groups of up to 15 people can request to volunteer to make hearts.

The completed paper mâché hearts leave the hands of the volunteers and the studio of Life On Earth Art to bring uplift to communities who need a reminder that there is love, compassion, and people who care about them.
