heart-making for social justice
So many of us feel alone, yet our struggles are shared by many others. In these workshops, which will be facilitated by a hand-picked team to support participants, community members come together to share their experiences and, through personal expression and art-making, work towards individual and collective solutions to trauma and injustice.
Life on Earth Art is currently seeking facilitators (therapists, coaches, artists, storytellers, performers, and other leaders) to be part of our team in the future. Contact us
if you want to be considered for this transformative role.
This fun, accessible, and traditional art process works for all ages and abilities. The winged hearts can be constructed with personal papers so that stories are not only shared as we make the hearts, but are actually layered into them. Hearts can be added to the installation, displayed as permanent creations in a community center, kept by their creators, or sold as part of a fundraising event. The many simple steps of the process make it interesting, giving the makers a chance to learn and create together.
